Venue of the symposium 'Global Health in Perspective' will be our 'home base': Erasmus MC, University Medical Center Rotterdam, The Netherlands. Integrating three academic hospitals (Sophia Children's Hospital, Dijkzigt Hospital and Erasmus MC Cancer Clinic) and the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, Erasmus MC is by far the largest, most successful and highest ranking university medical center in The Netherlands.
Erasmus MC is a research focussed, biomedically and technically oriented university medical center, with close relationships with Erasmus University Rotterdam (EUR) and Delft University of Technology (TUD). Erasmus MC is one of the founding fathers the Rotterdam Global Health Initiative (RGHI) and closely collaborating with the TU Delft Global Initiative.
Construction of our new Educational Center as well as of our new hospital (with only single-patient rooms!) was finalized in May 2018. So you are very welcome to come and see all our new and beautiful facilities.
Located in the the city center of Rotterdam, it is a short walk to various great musea, shopping centers as well as bars, restaurants and Rotterdam's beautiful architecture at both sides of the Maas river.
